Ali is a temp OCT certified teacher, completing her education studies through OISE at UofT with teachables in intermediate-senior math and physics. Ali has a B.ASc in Mechanical Engineering, M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering and experience working in the medical field. More recently, her passion and experience lies within the classroom and tutoring students.

Ali has many years of tutoring experience, which has led her to believe that students learn best when they feel safe in their environment and with their instructor. Ali is a warm and caring educator who is able to create individualized learning plans and break concepts down into manageable chunks. Ali strives for all her students to be able to reach their fullest potential.

An educator for eight years in Canada, the US, China, and the UAE, Ammarah has taught STEM subjects and standardized test preps. The international experience she has gained over the years has made her adept at developing and delivering plans that reach students with unique learning styles. Ammarah is a passionate teacher with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and truly enjoys the STEM subject area.

Andrea holds an honours Bachelor of Social Sciences, a post-graduate certificate in Therapeutic Recreation, and is currently in her final year of the Bachelor of Education program at Brock University. She specializes in elementary education, French, and languages across all grades. Andrea hopes to one day become a high school guidance counsellor. She has experience as a private tutor and as a student teacher in the classroom. Andrea has previous experience as a Child and Youth Worker with at-risk youth.As a tutor, Andrea focuses on each student’s unique strengths and needs. She likes to give students the opportunity to show off their strengths, as this builds confidence, but also challenges students to reach their full potential! Andrea is a certified figure skating coach through the National Coaching Certification Program. She has been coaching children on the ice for over 7 years! In her leisure time, she enjoys yoga, painting, drawing, and journaling.

Breanne Van Den Breemen is a fifth year Concurrent Education student at Brock University with teachable subjects in English and history. Breanne has experience teaching at the primary, junior and intermediate levels across all subjects, with a keen interest in social sciences and English. Additionally, she has a background in music. Breanne has a passion for working with students of all ability levels and has a high degree of organizational skills. She lives on a farm that her family owns and enjoys working with the animals on the farm in her free time.

Catherine is an Ontario certified primary/junior teacher and holds a Master’s Degree in Adolescent Education for English. She has been teaching students from nursery up to grade 11 since 2006 and lived overseas for 13 years teaching at the primary level in Mongolia, Eritrea, Venezuela, and Vietnam. Catherine is committed to continuous professional development and has completed additional coursework in primary English, math and science. In her free time, Catherine loves yoga, scuba diving, playing the guitar, puzzles, and cooking. She also works as a freelance writer!

Charlotte is a certified elementary school teacher with experience in classrooms from Jk to Grade 6. She has been teaching for 15 years in the private school system. Her passion is to build confience and independence in her students. She has completed additonal qualifications in Special Education and Reading at York University. Charlotte enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her five children.

Concetta is an OCT certified teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School board where she teachers Music, Drama and Dance. She also has experience working with students from K-12 in Reading, Literacy, Social Studies, Math and more. Concetta loves working with students of any age and is passionate about helping students on the road to success. She has continued to expand on her teaching qualifications by taking additional qualification courses throughout the year such as Special Education Part 1, Drama Intermediate and Senior, and Vocal Music. Concetta’s teaching philosophy is to make sure all her lessons are inclusive, and she believes in creating individualized lesson plans and strategies that cater to each students’ way of learning.

Daniel’s passion is to help others achieve their goals and succeed. He is an Ontario certified teacher with qualifications in intermediate and senior level math and science, and in addition, is familiar with French. With over 15 years of tutoring, teaching, and coaching experience, he knows the positive impact that a mentor can have on a student’s life. While working as an at-home tutor and university co-op and career advisor, he prides himself on creating a genuine connection with his students and working together to reach their academic potential. As a high school student teacher, elementary school teacher’s aide, and swimming instructor, he kept students engaged by using creative, real-life examples and providing positive reinforcement to build confidence. Outside of tutoring, he is a sports fanatic! In his spare time, you can find him cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Toronto Raptors. He was even outside Scotiabank Arena the night the Raptors won the NBA championship

Dimitrios is an OCT certified teacher with 7 years of experience. During his time with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board, he has taught a variety of grades and subjects. Dimitrios is certified in the junior/intermediate/and senior divisions. Although his specialty is music, he has had experience teaching mathematics, literacy, science, and social studies. He also has experience teaching virtually in an individualized, engaging manner to facilitate student success. Dimitrios believes it is his responsibility as a teacher/tutor to foster student growth through struggle and adversity, while at the same time praising and celebrating their achievements. The opportunity to be a role model and affect the lives of his students in a positive manner is something that Dimitrios takes great pride in. He is a part of many musical groups where he performs for different functions as well as enjoys watching sports such as football and soccer.

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in English and History, and obtained her Bachelor of Education at Western. She is currently certified to teach English and History at the Intermediate and Senior levels (7-12). Elizabeth is also in the process of obtaining further teaching qualifications in First Nations, Metis and Inuit Studies, and in Special Education.

As someone who struggled with undiagnosed ADHD throughout her school years, Elizabeth has a particular interest in working with students who face similar challenges, in order to develop skills and strategies that will support both their academic and life-long success.

Elizabeth’s love for learning makes her an enthusiastic, supportive and tireless ally in every student’s unique learning journey. Her approach is holistic, compassionate and centred around principles of equity and inclusion.

She can usually be found reading or gardening at her home in Brantford, where she lives with her husband, daughter, and occasional foster dog.

Erin is an Ontario certified elementary school teacher that enjoys working at the junior and intermediate levels. She holds additional qualifications in special education, primary, junior, and intermediate mathematics, and senior geography. Erin has taught mainly in the upper junior and intermediate divisions but loves working with all age groups and levels. She loves to joke around and be sarcastic with her students while teaching and she believes wholeheartedly that every student can learn a subject no matter their capabilities. Erin loves doing crafts, is a Marvel fan, and loves the outdoors.

Felicia is an English Instructor and Tutor with 10+ years experience teaching and working with students in Ontario. She has taught for the government, in private language schools and at the university level. She has experience teaching Academic English and IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge Test Preparation. Felicia holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Education, a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and a certificate in Student Advising and Support all from recognized Canadian institutions. She loves working with students and creating individualized study plans that suit their unique needs.

Originally from Quebec City, Felix holds a B.Sc. in microbiology and is now a PhD candidate in biochemistry at Master University. While his research focuses on the interactions of bacteria and viruses with each other, Felix has always been active in science education. He has experience teaching both scientific content (biology, chemistry, introductory physics) and French as a second language for students in French (or French immersion) schools. In his free time, Felix enjoys developing his skills as a baker, musician, graphic designer and D&D game master.

Justin is a graduate from Brock University and attended D’Youville College where he received a Masters in Primary Education. He is qualified to teach all subjects up to grade six as well as history, geography, and English in the intermediate grades. Justin also holds additional qualifications in special education and reading. For the past four years he has been a teacher in the Hamilton area, where he absolutely loves working with his students.

Kael is a secondary school teacher and has experience teaching mathematics, business studies, and geography courses. He is a young teacher who is very excited and passionate about helping students understand difficult concepts and improve their grades in all of their classes! Kael is a graduate of McMaster University’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce program and attended Nipissing University where he earned his Bachelor of Education Degree. Kael enjoys spending time with his little dog, Bandit, watching football, and getting active.

Laura has over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience in a variety of environments, from elementary through to high school. She has also taught ESL locally and abroad. She has experience working with students within a wide range of learning abilities, and works compassionately with students wherever they are at. Laura holds a Masters degree, and is a certified Early Childhood Educator. She is interested in learning about and participating in efforts towards social justice.

Mackenzie is in the Concurrent Education program at Brock University where she is specializing in elementary education. She has several years of experience working as a tutor with various school boards, where she has facilitated online literacy programs in addition to individualized support in math, science, and English. Mackenzie has also completed many educational placements and she was a peer mentor at Brock University. She enjoys spending time at her cottage with friends and family!

Mallory has a passion for educating that encompasses language arts, French as a second language, humanities, and dramatic and musical arts. She is an Ontario Certified teacher with a Bachelor of Education from OISE at the University of Toronto. Her breadth of experience is conducive to any grade level and her all-inclusive approach is malleable to any learning style. Mallory is a performing musician and vocalist, restaurant management veteran, student drama and leadership coach, and passionate runner and hockey player.

Marty has 10 years of experience teaching at the college level and currently teaches Technological Design and Mathematics at the secondary level. He completed his undergraduate degrees at Brock University (B.Ed) and McMaster University (B.Tech), his three-year Technology Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Mohawk College, and currently holds a license as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Marty is an upbeat, enthusiastic person with a passion for teaching and learning. His strongest beliefs as an educator can be encapsulated by two quotes: “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn” (Ignacio Estrada) and, “Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way” (George Evans).

Michelle Eisen has been an educator for over 10 years and is currently a Vice-Principal. Before her role as an administrator she worked primarily as an intermediate (gr. 7&8) teacher but has taught remedial math and literacy programs for primary and junior students (K-6). Michelle has worked with the regional math team in her board to design responsive, hands-on, math learning and worked with OISE to develop the literacy education site litdiet.org. Michelle taught instrumental band for many years, performing at a variety of venues and competitions with her students. Before entering education, Michelle worked as a music and group therapist for children and their siblings with cancer and children with Autism.
Michelle has a degree in Science (YorkU) and a Masters degree in education (UofT). Michelle enjoys working one-on-one with students to help them achieve academic and personal success!

Nicole is originally from South Africa and has been in education for over 10 years. Nicole graduated cum laude in Fine Arts at the University of Johannesburg. As an undergraduate assistant lecturer, Nicole found her passion for teaching and has been in the classroom both in public, private and tutoring positions since 2012. Nicole completed her Bachelors of Education at the University of South Africa majoring in high school and Further Education in English in 2014 and has continued to be a life long learner in teaching strategies and diversifying her curriculums to best suit her students.
The students and their needs are at the heart of Nicole’s teaching practice. Her belief is that every student can reach their full potential and beyond with the right tools. As a teacher from a county of great cultural diversity, Nicole respects every student’s context and how to engage with the student on their own terms and in their own style of learning. Rae is a graduate of Queen’s University from their Bachelor of Education program. She has also recently become an Ontario certified teacher with teachables in both music and English for Grades 7-12, but is happy to teach students younger or older. Rae takes on a holistic approach by focusing on the skills that will make students life-ready such as self-regulation, organization, and perseverance. While working alongside the Ontario curriculum, Rae believes that working on these skills will allow students to be adaptable and continue to be lifelong learners.

Shivani is greatly passionate about teaching and sees herself as a life-long learner. She has been tutoring and teaching for 3+ years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring, and teaching in rural, suburban, and urban classroom and home settings. Shivani holds a Masters of Science in Physics, with an extensive background in mathematics and science.

Sophie is an Ontario certified teacher with many years of experience working with students at various levels. Currently, she is working as an Elementary French Teacher. She completed her teaching program abroad in Wales, specialising in Intermediate/Senior French. She holds additional qualifications at the Primary and Junior levels, as well as Intermediate English. She loves to share her passion for languages, literature, and cultures with her students. She uses positive reinforcement to build confidence in children and is always looking for new ways to engage her students.

Spencer has been a teacher in the Canadian North for the past 10 years working in Original Peoples’ communities. More recently, he has worked at McCanny Secondary School in Toronto. He holds a Master of Science in Education, a Master of Arts in Inclusive Special Education, and is currently completing his Bachelor of Social Work part-time. Spencer is very active in politics and social justice and enjoys volunteering, working out and hanging out with friends in his spare time. He has three beautiful dogs named Halo, Swiper and Sparky
